John D. White is the Managing Director of The Wind Alliance. Mr. White is also a partner with Murphree Venture Partners in Houston. He is a co-founder and currently serves as Chairman of the Board and CEO of Standard Renewable Energy Group, LLC (SREG).
Mr. White has more than 30 years of legal experience in a variety of industry sectors, with a focus on the energy sector. His legal career includes services as an Air Force Judge Advocate, an in-house position with Texaco, Inc., and more than 25 years of private practice in Houston. From 2003-2009, Mr. White was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to serve on the Board of Regents of the Texas A&M University System. He was Chairman of the Board from 2005-2007 and Vice Chairman from 2007-2009.
Mr. White is a board member of the Houston Technology Center, The Greater Houston Partnership, and the Association for Community Broadcasting, and is Chairman of the Board of the Ed Rachal Foundation. He received his degree in political science from Texas A&M University and his law degree from the University of Texas, School of Law. |
