Lakeshore Technical College is a leading provider of technical education offering 100 career programs including associate degrees, technical diplomas, technical certificates and apprenticeship programs.  LTC established the Wind Energy Training Center by offering the state of Wisconsin’s first Wind Energy Technology associate degree and has since expanded its offerings to include specialized training in climbing, access, rescue, fall protection and confined space through a partnership with ENSA Access & Rescue.  In addition the college is in the process of becoming a certification site for Snap-on Torque Certification, an increasingly necessary program for the wind energy industry that covers all aspects of torque.  LTC also is a demonstration site for a variety of wind turbines, in addition to a real-world lab which will allow students to develop maintenance, repair and torque skills at the ground level through decommissioned hubs, nacelle, blade and tower.
