Fall 2009: All-Member Meeting
Letter From Director

Dear Members,

Welcome to our first semi-annual members meeting.

I am excited to see the momentum building and awareness increasing for the critical purpose of optimizing the Wind Industry to meet the goals of 2030.  Despite what we have been able to achieve individually, there is much more to be done.  The Wind Industry faces significant short-term and long-term obstacles in the areas of workforce, infrastructure and technology that affect all players – these obstacles must be addressed on a pre-competitive basis for the success of the entire industry.

The Wind Alliance, unlike any other organization, is the missing link in the Wind Industry.  As an academic, industry or public sector member, you have the unique opportunity to participate on member-driven think-tank committees.  Our goal is to isolate issues, and then incubate and execute solutions for industry obstacles through collaborative projects.  The Wind Alliance actively connects complementary members, identifies and channels funding for projects, and performs project coordination and administration.

By attending this meeting, you are joining other committed members in our combined effort to hurdle the Wind Industry’s pre-competitive barriers to success.

Thank you again for being here and I look forward to working with you!

Sincerely,

John D. White
Managing Director
