Scott Simpson is Vice President and Division Manager for the SAIC Risk and Reliability Solutions Division located in Houston, Texas. Scott also manages the SAIC NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) contract. The Division is part of the SAIC Space, Aviation and Science Operation.
Scott has over 20 years experience in risk and reliability assessments. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University and his master’s degree Texas A&M, Commerce. Scott served in the United States Air Force as a commissioned officer flying B-52 aircraft as a Navigator and Radar Navigator. After leaving active duty, Scott began working as a Systems Safety Engineer on the Space Shuttle Program at the Johnson Space Center. He has held various positions with increasing levels of responsibility, including managing International Space Station, Space Shuttle, and Exploration safety and mission assurance departments. Scott is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
When not working, Scott spends time with his wife, Milagros and enjoys friendly college rivalries with his sons, Scott A. (22 – University of Houston) and Phillip (19 – Texas A&M). He enjoys camping, hiking, and skiing.
