Alliance Accomplishments

The Wind Alliance was officially established on May 5, 2009. The following accomplishments were achieved during the first year.
- Formation of 501(c)(3) – May 2009
- Establishment of internal infrastructure and operations
- Accounting system (QuickBooks for Non-Profits)
- Database system (ACT!)
- Payroll system (Alliance)
- Filing system (hard files exist for each member as well as each accounts payable vendor)
- Phone system (dedicated 866 and 713 numbers that are answered from 9am-5pm)
- On-line donation system (Google check-out)
- Deployment of marketing program
- Robust website and secure members’ portal (www.thewindalliance.org)
- Social media launch (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn)
- Monthly newsletters
- Video/Commercial
- Tradeshow booth, banner and marketing material
- Presentations and speaking events
- Employees attended multiple conferences and events
- Logo, letterhead, business cards and fliers
- Web advertising and Google grants (application submitted)
- Development of membership
- Created membership and operating agreements
